Dictionaries and Encyclopedias

The selected dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other reference works specialize in Nordic, Arctic, or Indigenous studies, or contain significant content in these fields. These resources provide access to overview articles written by experts. Dictionaries of Nordic Indigenous languages are also available.

Some publications are available in full text to everyone (open access), while others are restricted to members of the universities listed (restricted access), with their use subject to institutional licenses. Reference works available only in print format are also recommended.
